Executive Forum: The Power of Digitalization in Healthcare in China and Beyond

Please join us for our upcoming CEIBS Executive Forum on September 21, 2020, with Ms. Elisabeth Staudinger, President of Asia Pacific for Siemens Healthineers, who will give a lecture on The Power of Digitalization in Healthcare in China and Beyond.
What might a real-world example of a health digital twin look like? And, what role will artificial intelligence play in healthcare? Will it make doctors and nurses redundant? We are now experiencing a paradigm shift and an enormous boost in digitalisation in the healthcare sector. This shift is shaping the new normal of care delivery, providing more personalisation, greater productivity, more rapid availability, and less administrative work. As part of this shift, health digital twins and pathway companions will redefine the practice of medicine unlike anything we’ve yet seen. This exciting new technology already impacts medicine today and it will continue to do so in the decades to come.
About the speaker
Elisabeth Staudinger is President of the Asia Pacific region for Siemens Healthineers and is based in Shanghai. Elisabeth joined Siemens in 1998 and has held several roles spanning procurement, strategy, manufacturing and R&D. Prior to relocating to the Asia Pacific region, she was global CEO of the Refurbished Systems Business of Siemens Healthineers.
Elisabeth has been closely connected with China since 1991, studying at both Nanjing and Peking Universities. In 1997, she spent some time working with Advantage Austria, the Austrian trade organisation in Beijing. From 1999 to 2002, she headed an international procurement office for Siemens in Shanghai and has been in her current role since 2018.
Elisabeth studied Sinology and Economics in Vienna, Nanjing, and Beijing and holds a master’s degree in both subjects. Since 2019, she has been an active board member of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).
