May 9, 2018. Shenzhen – Joo Yi had never heard of QQ or Tencent in 2008, when she was a year into her CEIBS MBA studies. Back then, she was still using MSN to keep in touch with friends and family in South Korea. Tencent only made its way onto her radar after she began looking for a summer internship that would help her reach the very clear goal she had set herself when enrolling at CEIBS: get a job with a Chinese company. Eight years later she is still with Tencent. The job initially took her back home to Seoul but now she works out of the company’s Shenzhen headquarters as Director of Business Strategy in the Mobile Internet Group.

May 7, 2018. Shanghai – The CEIBS MBA has moved up 14 spots to #9 in the Financial Times ranking of the world’s top 50 MBAs for finance.  Breaking into the top 10 today also secures CEIBS MBA’s place as Asia’s #1 MBA for Finance. The top 10 are: Stanford, Wharton, Chicago Booth, Harvard, New York Stern, MIT Sloan, INSEAD, Cambridge Judge, CEIBS and Columbia.

April 26, 2018. Shanghai -“If I had to choose a Game of Thrones House to belong to, it would definitely be House Targaryen. It’s an easy choice, because they have dragons,” says CEIBS MBA 2010 alumnus Joseph Yu. He is reflecting on the craft of bestselling, internationally renowned writer George RR Martin. The author of the worldwide phenomenon that is Game of Thrones recently announced Joseph as the winner of his inaugural Terran scholarship, which includes a ticket to join Martin and a host of award-winning novelists at the prestigious science fiction and fantasy writing workshop, Taos Toolbox, in the US, this June.

Shanghai – Dominique de Villepin, the former Prime Minister of France who CEIBS is now honoured to have as a member of its faculty, has stressed the importance of the 15-year-old China-EU Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, especially at a time of trade tension between the US and China.

April 14, 2018. Shanghai – More than 150 students from the MBA Class of 2018 were back on campus today, joined by friends, family, professors and CEIBS staff to celebrate the next chapter of their MBA journey. Ushering the MBAs into the CEIBS alumni family of over 20,000 professionals were school leaders President (European) Prof. Pedro Nueno, Vice President and Dean Prof. Ding Yuan, Vice President and Co-Dean Prof. Zhang Weijiong and Associate Dean and MBA Programme Director Prof. Juan Fernandez. They were joined by Dominique de Villepin, the former Prime Minister of France, who is now Distinguished Professor at CEIBS.

The forum aims to establish a platform to promote these globalizing Chinese enterprises among MBAs and enhance communication between recruiters and young professionals.

March 29, 2018. Shanghai – The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and ESCA Ecole de Management have agreed to work together to make business management education more accessible. The initiative, the latest in CEIBS’ efforts as a socially responsible business school, will make it easier for individuals from Morocco to enrol in the CEIBS MBA and Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) programmes. ESCA alumni who are successfully accepted to the CEIBS GEMBA will be offered a substantial scholarship, while those admitted as MBA students will benefit from a mixture of scholarships and low-interest in-house loans.
