Before CEIBS, I spent more than eight years in B2B sales — client-facing work, problem-solving, coordinating different teams to keep complex projects moving forward. 

But at some point, I started asking myself a different question. Not “can I do this job well?” — I knew the answer to that. The question I kept coming back to was: “do I want to be in this position for another ten years?” And when I was honest with myself, the answer was no.

The Financial Times (FT) today published its 2026 ranking of the world’s top 100 Executive MBA (EMBA) programmes, with the Global EMBA programme at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) taking second place worldwide and first place on the Chinese mainland. This marks the seventh consecutive year the programme has ranked among the world’s top two, making it the only EMBA programme globally to have maintained a top two position every year since 2020.

On October 8, the Financial Times (FT) published the 2026 Global Business School Case Impact Ranking, placing China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) first in Asia and fourth worldwide.

October 8, 2026. Shanghai- Nine professors from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) have been named among the World's Top 2% Scientists in the 2026 ranking jointly released by Stanford University and academic publisher Elsevier, an increase of two from the previous year.

September 19, 2026. Shanghai – The 2026 CEIBS Global EMBA Building Bridges Forum on China and Latin America was held at CEIBS' Shanghai campus on September 19, welcoming more than 250 diplomats, consular officials, corporate executives, academics and CEIBS alumni.

The CEIBS Lujiazui International Institute of Finance (CLIIF) launched the 2026 Global Asset Management Centre Evaluation Index today at the CLF50 Annual Meeting. The Index places New York first with a score of 93.62, followed by London at 88.04 and Shanghai at 87.05. Shanghai moved up two places from fifth in 2025, entering the Index’s global top three for the first time and becoming the highest-ranked city in Asia, while London climbed from third to second.

On August 31, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) held the Opening Ceremony of the Global Master in Management (Global MiM) Class of 2026 — a pioneering double degree programme jointly launched with ESCP Business School — on its Shanghai campus, welcoming an inaugural cohort of 73 young talents from across the globe. Over the next two years, these students will study and live in four world-class business hubs: Shanghai, Paris, London and Zurich.

August 31, 2026. Shanghai – China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and ETS China today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the CEIBS Shanghai campus, extending their partnership and renewing the CEIBS GRE Half Scholarship for a third term.

August 24, 2026. Shanghai – CEIBS welcomed its Full-time MBA Class of 2028 and the inaugural Part-time MBA Class of 2026 at a joint opening ceremony on its Shanghai campus today.

This year's Full-time MBA cohort brings together students from nearly 30 countries and regions worldwide, with international students accounting for more than 43% of the cohort. The inaugural Part-time MBA class, meanwhile, comprises experienced professionals from some of China's major economic hubs, including the Greater Bay Area, Beijing, Shanghai and beyond. 

Bringing the two cohorts together for the first time, the ceremony marked the beginning of a shared CEIBS journey shaped by diverse cultures, industries and professional experiences.

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) officially welcomed Professor Léon Laulusa to its leadership team as Vice President and Dean today at an Installation Ceremony held on the school’s Shanghai campus.

In 2026, the global job market has been shaped by profound structural shifts. Ongoing geopolitical tensions continue to disrupt industries, while global economic growth remains in a fragile recovery. At the same time, the large-scale rollout of generative AI is fundamentally rewriting the value of job roles and reshaping the standards by which talent is assessed, making recruitment decisions more selective than ever.
Against this challenging backdrop, the CEIBS MBA Class of 2026 has remained resilient. Within three months of graduation, the overall employment rate was 90.3%, 91.9% of corporate-job-seeking graduates had secured at least one offer, with 88.7% accepting an offer. Ultimately, the offer acceptance rate climbed to 90.3% within four months, underscoring the enduring competitiveness of CEIBS graduates and their ability to create value in an increasingly uncertain business environment.

On June 29, 2026, CEIBS hosted the 9th CEIBS Accounting and Finance Symposium at its Shanghai campus, bringing together more than 80 scholars from leading universities across the United States, Europe, and Asia. The one-day event provided a vibrant platform for interdisciplinary exchange on the evolving landscape of finance, accounting, economics, and technology.

July 7, 2026. Shanghai — The 7th CEIBS Marketing Symposium was held at the Duan Yongping Academic Centre on the CEIBS Shanghai campus today, bringing together nearly 100 renowned scholars from leading global institutions to explore the latest frontiers in marketing research.

June 28, 2026. Shanghai -  The fifth CEIBS Global EMBA Annual Symposium took place at the school's Shanghai campus today, welcoming over 350 students, alumni, faculty, senior leadership and distinguished guests to examine one of the defining questions facing global business today: How is China's innovation-led transformation reshaping the global economy?

CEIBS Global EMBA "Building Bridges" series comes to Suzhou, with two professors and three industry leaders offering in-depth analysis on Chinese companies' Southeast Asia strategy.

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms industries, economies, and global governance frameworks, the need for dialogue between China and Europe on innovation, governance, and shared development has become more important than ever.
