A dinner reception in celebration of the 60th anniversary of China-France diplomatic relations and 30th anniversary of the establishment of CEIBS was held at the CEIBS Shanghai campus today, featuring a keynote speech from CEIBS Distinguished Professor and Former Prime Minister of France Jean-Pierre Raffarin.

On February 26, 2024, The Case Centre announced the full list of winners of The Case Centre Awards and Competitions 2024, which recognise outstanding case writers and teachers from across the globe and celebrate worldwide excellence in case writing and teaching. We are excited to announce that Professor Shimin Chen,  Zhu Xiaoming Chair Professor in Accounting, Associate Dean and Director of the Case Center at China European International Business School (CEIBS), has won the Outstanding Contribution to the Case Method Award. Professor Chen is an award-winning case author and a seasoned teacher with over 30 years of experience in delivering degree and executive education programmes at universities in China, Hong Kong SAR, and America. He is also dedicated to advancing the use of China-focused cases at CEIBS and in business schools across China and the world.

In January 2024, more than 100 CEIBS cases, rigorously reviewed and selected by the Global Platform of China Cases (ChinaCases.Org), officially went live at the Case Center Japan. The move marks the fourth time an international case library has housed CEIBS cases after Harvard Business Publishing-Education (“Harvard Case Library”), Ivey Publishing, and The Case Centre.

She also engaged in a lively discussion on emerging trends in case development and teaching in business schools with nearly one hundred guests in attendance, including leaders and faculty members from more than 40 colleges across the country.

For the first time in the programme’s history, on August 18 CEIBS Global EMBA hosted a symposium event in Singapore under the theme of De-risking and its impact on South-East Asia and China. The CEIBS Global EMBA’s inaugural symposium in the country, this eagerly anticipated event was both well attended and well received by its international audience, who were eager to explore new strategies for companies looking to de-risk and keep pace with fast-evolving trends in a region that is feeling the impact of greater global VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity).
