H. E. Marta Betanzos Roig, Ambassador of Spain to China, visited the CEIBS Shanghai campus today to engage in discussions with school leaders, faculty, and students on Spain-China relations, global business cooperation, and opportunities for deeper educational exchange.

As the world marks the 10th anniversary of the landmark Paris Agreement, CEIBS today welcomed Laurent Fabius, former Prime Minister of France and President of the COP21 Paris Climate Conference—which directly resulted in the historic accord—for a keynote address entitled “Climate Diplomacy in the 21st Century: Lessons from the Paris Agreement for China, Europe, and the World.”

China and Iceland possess complementary strengths and large potential for collaboration despite their vast difference in size, according to remarks made by President of Iceland Halla Tómasdóttir during an event on the CEIBS Shanghai campus today. President Tómasdóttir was accompanied by Thórir Ibsen, Ambassador of Iceland to China.

“Corporates today are increasingly becoming multinational, and the difference between multinational and global is you now select and decide,” said Bain & Company Chairman Manny Maceda at a CEIBS Executive Forum on the school’s Shanghai campus today.

The CEIBS Africa EMBA 2015 cohort celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary Reunion over the weekend of September 26 to 28, marking the first time that a CEIBS class has gathered from around the world to celebrate a milestone in Africa, on the CEIBS Accra campus in Ghana.

"With the current state of technology and sources of energy, China heavily depends on importing fossil fuels, which may be a threat to its sovereignty, security, and independence. Domestic sources of energy are limited, depletable, and mostly environmentally unfriendly. As such, China needs to develop alternative sources of energy. "

Against the stunning backdrop of Milan, a city that breathes heritage, elegance, and design, CEIBS recently brought together more than 110 alumni, senior business leaders, professors, and friends from across Europe, Asia, the US, Africa, and Latin America for the 2025 Alumni Reunion & Zurich Campus 10th Anniversary.

”The level of competition we have in China has become unrealistic and at times toxic. Government intervention has become necessary for the sake of the greater good.”

While the relationship between China and France faces challenges from a changing international order and rising trade tensions, there remain many avenues for cooperation and collaboration if the principles of openness, mutual understanding, and the leveraging of mutual complementarities prevail, according to remarks made today in Paris at the 11th CEIBS Europe Forum.

"If we do not now, in leading business schools like CEIBS, prepare future leaders, there will be a problem tomorrow of another kind."
